Them things have been et.

Well, maybe not the watermelon.

I still have me that fine loaf of bread we tried to sell at Tube City.

Had a fine sandwich yesterday.

Mmmmmm...moldy bread!

No! Not stale at all. Seriously, still very good.

Must be the karma.

Watermelon's Lament

...missed the picnic call
oh, to think what could have been
pleasing slices for all
then running down their chin

but here I sit on plastic
plucked from my earthen patch
so far, this summer ain't fantastic
you'd think I had a plane to catch

I must say the watermelon did come to a sad end—and not on that chair.

Sad, and truly disgusting.

Now the bread on the other hand...

Let me recommend this brand. I just had it for dinner. Its expiration date was July 24, and it is still, as they say, So Yum.

"Nature's Pride Healthy Multi Grain".

Corporate offices in Texas.

Buy some today. Even if it means a trip to the Ozarks.

None, according to the ingredient label.

What variety of tomatoes are those again? I keep thinking about them.
