David Crane, a yacht captain by profession, makes these ceramic pieces from navigational maps of great harbors he has known. Fortunately for me, he is also my cousin, so he gave me this Block Island version that is about to replace the rock on the kitchen table.
Now I am going to give into craftsmanship myself and attempt to make a bookshelf. I'll show you how it comes out if I retain enough fingers to type with.
