protest

Since the wedding, days on the island have been like a string of sapphires or topazes with full moon nights like—maybe I've taken this too far.
Anyway, after rain for the wedding there have been a lot of days that have made me want to set off explosives screaming, "Unfair."
Still, it's hard not to take advantage of a weekend like this one.

I bought an apartment in the most intensely urban boro of the most intensely urban city when all I want is lie down in a patch of grass. Or sand. What is wrong with me?

Oh, and the real estate market is tanking so I can't afford to sell. And I could very possibly lose my job in January.

Maybe I'll end up homeless and living in Central Park. And finally -- finally -- be happy.

Can I live in Block Island for the winter?

When you lose your job you can always rent out your place and use the money to lease a really big patch of grass in the Ozarks...
