We went to Puerto Vallarta most summers in the late 1950s, spending the days at a beach a mile or so from the town. I remember fondly the small waterfall and pool where we'd rinse off salt and sand on the hot afternoon walk back. Not too cold, if you didn't mind a bit of screaming.
