building permit

This is the amount of paper needed to apply for a building permit. Architectural drawings, engineering drawings, site plans, wind sheer tables.

FYI
Kinko's charges by the square foot for large xeroxes. Total price: $225. This day.

I am currently trying to finish a building permit for a pool, I feel I need a graduate degree from MIT just to fill it out. Conversations w/ my small town building inspector go like this... "well you're gonna need to fill something out w/ the Board of Health first" Oh really like a permit,"yep", OK, do you have one of those, "Nope", OK where can I get one? "Well you can call Pia up on Haze Hill" OK do you have her number?, "Nope" ....Somebody help me

I have found that Staples is cheaper than Kinkos but what you really need is a friend who works in an architectural office....

Yeah. This architect friend of mine helped me out with some stats, and they were not only cheaper, they were better.
Next time. . .

When the bombs fall, only rats will survive because there will be more then enough paperwork to feed 2000 generations.
