This picture is beautiful. The gates are not. I walk thru them every morning on my way to work. I was fully expected to be enthralled. Instead I spend most of my walk trying to figure out what's missing, how would I improve them. More sensuous fabric to start. A deeper, redder silky irridescent orange maybe. I'm gonna try to give these gates another chance, tho. I think you have see them from far above to truly enjoy them. Perhaps from the roof of the Met, on a snowy day, with a flask of hot toddies to keep you warm. Sounds like a plan. -- La Rubia
