Hannah's wedding continues to spread the love as Harry moves into a new apartment with those IKEA plates and substandard cutlery. Note to college graduates: We have more!
In other news, if you see pictures of my Block Island houses listed on Craig's List in Providence, beware. There is someone—not I!—advertising Hannah's as an apartment, using pix  and garbled copy from VRBO.  Be advised, there is no time left during season, and the only way to rent is to go through VRBO (links at right). I don't know what would happen to the poor people who showed up thinking they had the house.

My Dear Ms. Dowling: It is quite a coincidence that you should post on this day your concerns and legitimate fears for the safety of your lovely rental properties in Rhode Island. I say this is quite a coincidence, because I am
in the process of chosing a summer home for myself and my two beloved children , Ajid and Nawal. Let me tell you a little about me.
I am Lady Right-Trusty Jeanette McArthur, wife of the late general McArthur of World War i and II fame. Yes, you may say how can this lady be alive and have two lovely young children by a man long dead who has never had a wife of record by this name?
This is a good question, but I can assure you I am truly who I say I am, and you can trust me as my name indicates. I met general McArthur when he was stationed in my home country of Borneo, and we fell in love against all reason and sense of convention. My beloved Douglas was married at the time we met but so unhappy and it was I who made him happy.
To accomodate our love which was all-consuming and beautiful, the general and I decided after three years and two precious children to take advantage of the then newly developed science of cryonics, and have me and my children frozen that we might be brought back to life once he was free to re-marry due to the natural death of his wife, Mrs. McArthur and then of course there would be no scandal surrounding the name of such an illustrious hero.

Our plan would have worked beautifully, but hear me out as to this greatest of tragedies. Just when my love was going to join is in our hidden chamber of frozen love, American president Franklin D.Roosevelt federalized the Philippine Army, and recalled my love to active duty in the U.S. Army as a major general, and named him commander of the U.S, Army in the Far East. Then as you know came the second Great War, and the General sacrificed his love for me for the honor of his country. Finally it was his son, Arthur McArthur, who finding reference to the existence of his father's other family in a secret journal, who recently uncovered our bodies and brought us back to life.

This is my sad story, Lady Claudia, but rest assured that having been through such great tragedy and personal disappointment I would never bring sadness or deception to the life of another.

The general left my children and I well provided for, and I would like my children to experience the wonders of this "Last Great Place", this island you call home. I will be sending you my personal bank check for the sum of $12,000,000 to secure the use of your lovely residence, Hannah's Hideaway. for the month of august, 2014. We have two parakeets, one for each child, and I hope this will be an acceptable level of pet for you, dear lady.

Thank you so much, with great appreciation, LRT Jeanette McDonald.

OMG! I guess I should just turf all my guests out and repay their deposits so that Lady Right-Trusty can take over! Millions! I could be rich! Well worth the ill will coming my way from the dispossessed! This couldn't possibly be another scam! I so believe!
