Looks like a good time in both Block Island and Thomasville. Were the fireworks near The Goose? Sadly, no NYC fireworks over the Hudson River, only down by the Brooklyn Bridge.
Here in the Big Apple, Jim, Cindy and I spent the afternoon in Nick and Anne's backyard, snacking on guacamole dip and chips and drinking Sauvignon Blanc, followed by a delightful BBQ of grilled fish and asparagus. Dessert included my traditional cheese tarts as well as Ghirardelli brownies.
Sounds good, Deb! Yes, the fireworks were about a block away from the Goose. F and D and I carried their folding chairs over to the field next to the rodeo rink to watch.
