Graduation day dawned beautifully on Block Island. Meanwhile, Chris was steaming Simon's graduation gown. Simon has been living with Chris and Hannah for most of his senior year of high school in Providence, during which they coaxed, scolded and wrangled him through his final year and into college acceptances. It takes a fucking village, but fortunately the Family That Ate the World is one. A triumphant day for all.

During Simon’s graduation ceremony, a figure whose name might ring a bell for readers of Claudia’s World, spoke about, well I don’t actually remember, which seems to be point of many a graduation speech. Nevertheless her name is Allison Gaines Pell and she is Head of School for The Wheeler School, the school from which Claudia’s daughter’s youngest half-brother graduated on June 10th Five guesses who Allison’s father is and his relation to Claudia’s World? Small world isn’t it?
I knew there was a connection. Just couldn't remember what!
