We drove to the middle of nowhere Ebeneezer, Mississippi, to check out a painting Billy wanted to buy. Saul Haymond came up from working in the cotton fields as a kid to winning a Guggenheim fellowship. You can read more about his
biography here. He was generous with his time and welcome, and it was a beautiful dy. Billy got his painting, and Jamie started wondering how she could get a giant wooden sculpture home to California.
