just remember it will make the downstairs darker i.e you won't see the sky as well since there will be a roof over the door.... personaly I don't think it will make a difference in rentals..it might make a difference to you....back in the renovation business....which you love...right?
Maybe it's the fact that the "new" is more impersonal and the "old" feels like you're staying at someone's house.
However, the master plan of redoing the ocean side includes new windows (thus screens), and eventually insulation and drywall. Sigh.
