the neighborhood

You can tell where the own homeplaces used to be by the bulbs that pop up this time of year. Now it's daffodils and hyacinths; later it will be tulips. And then it will be the flowering trees, the apples and mimosas, and ornamental bushes. 
 


I'm sorry to leave just as everything is flowering and greening up, but I'm going back to the cold on Block Island. Leaving for NYC tomorrow.
