cai guo qiang is a genius

I wasn't supposed to take this picture, but then neither was anyone else in the Guggenheim. And they were all doing it.

  1. How do you pronounce Qiang?

  2. It's like chiang, with a pretty aspirated ch sound. I tink.

  3. Let me add.
Cai is pronounced tsi rhymes with pie, but with a ts at the beginning, kind of an exasperated aspirated sound.
Guo is like gwoah Um, gwo. With not quite the o of ocean, not quite the a of ah so.
I think a linguist could do this better.
