why i don't have a tv

I watched the Super Bowl last night. The entire thing—commercials, play—and only about one second of the Puppy Bowl. The Super Bowl was too gripping (how about those Giants!). I even found myself making the sign of the goal post at the end when the Giants made their last touchdown.
Have I gone sports mad? No. I am just exhibiting the incipient signs of TV addiction. And the only thing an all-or-nothing kinda girl can do to keep it under control is never to turn the damn thing on. Not having one works even better. I put this one in for my mother (with cable) and will take it out after some visitors from France (with kids) depart. Then I will be safe again.
But I can see it now. Tomorrow's election returns. . .
Oh and, BTW, who are you voting for?

  1. Have you heard? Tonight there's a new 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.' Must see TV!

  3. This Superbowl watching episode may herald the beginning of the end for our Claudine. First, cheering for gorillas on TV!
Next, she could be like, watching the occasional detective drama. And then...... and then... she breaks down and gets the pocket dog. Oh, My God! that's right. She WAS watching Puppy Bowl. See?? It's a slippery slope. Can she "Just Say No?'' to normalcy? Is she really gonna get rid of the TV? Stay tuned. Or not.

  4. The way McCain goes on about catching Bin Laden you would think he was running against him. Is that women really his wife or his eldest daughter? If there is a crazy bowl he should be ringleader.
